Queerness is Energy and Energy is Everyone

We can forget we are just energy in a human form. That's all any of this is. Our words, our thoughts, our beliefs, our feelings, our vote...it's an exchange of energy with consequences. Consequences are what happens next...the outcome of a particular belief, mindset, system, value, perspective and action.

All of us in our diverse and infinite ways belong to each other. The work is seeing HOW. How we know ourselves to be vs. how we tell ourselves to be.

Being human is participating in an interconnected web, not a spectrum. We're all connected -- even with the people loyal to those who want certain groups of other people gone.

These things exist independently and collectively. We are amidst a wellness and mindset unraveling. It's not what we've been taught to be. Our words carry the energy of our thoughts, actions, and behavior.

Decision: how do you want to participate in the energy of the world moving forward? You're a part of it, whether you like it or not. There's no neutral when it comes to the validity of human lives.

When it comes to taking responsibility and holding yourself accountable for how you affect the world, make sure you understand your words... "I care vs I support"

CARE:

  1. The provision of what is necessary for the health, welfare, maintenance, and protection of someone or something

  2. Serious attention or consideration applied to doing something correctly or to avoid damage or risk

  3. Feel concern or interest; attach importance to something.look after and provide for the needs of.

It's easy to say you care then act in a way that avoids damage or risk.

SUPPORT:

  1. Bear all or part of the weight of; hold up. give assistance to, especially financially

  2. Enable to function or act.a thing that bears the weight of something or keeps it upright.

  3. Material assistance.

It's easy to say, "I support" then act in ways that completely defunds or restricts investing in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging work. Leaving this to your LGBTQIA employees to explain themselves to you while the relationship, organization/company continues to benefit off of them exhausts them. People will leave. People will stop engaging. They will go where they're appreciated and not undermined.

You support WITH money because you are showing you CARE.

As a queer person, there was a time I created cis-het life because I didn't understand how to create my own....queer....life. Until I did. Then it was game on as the Universe handed over every bit of joy it had been waiting to give me. Including the mindset and tools to hold space for people who recoiled, hissed, ignored, seized and spit at my identity. I can feel when someone is uncomfortable with who I am by the things they say and do.

Because we are all energy, there's an unmistakable vibration present. It's up to me to identify-- what is mine and what is theirs. It can take time.

It's the dance of a lifetime.

Smiling through masks, it is brutal. I know what it feels like to smile through a mask...it's suffocating and debilitating. As we choose ourselves, lower the masks we put on like we have it all figured out, we open our hearts to making our world safer and kinder.

I know that revealing my queerness means enduring certain social death. I also know that revealing my queerness means finally taking from the truest source of energy which is of authenticity... which means I can withstand any journey I encounter.

As a society, we have had a hard time relying on ourselves, to trust the right way to treat people. The world is train wrecking queerness left and right which it's pretty simple. This is exercise, fitness and wellness program design at the core...training systems, building capacity, going to practice, then daily interactions being game day.

Witnessing people not invest in their own minds or how to know others' experience is like someone is holding your head in place, holding your feet down, forcing your eyes open and the screams emerge, "NO! No, please, stop, no."

People point their fingers saying we're the problem for being queer. For people trans. For being gay.

It's their own heart they kill.
